Careful child relocation will give you the information you need to make decisions about child relocation, to prevent child abduction or to deal with a situation of child abduction. It will also help you to find good legal assistance, no matter where you are or where your child has been abducted to.

I started this website for my expat clients who found themselves in complicated situations after ending their relationship. It is my aim to guide them through the different stages of (informal) negotiations, cross border mediation, filing criminal charges and filing a return request at the court. In such a complicated situation, when they are dealing with social workers and investigators such as the guardian ad litem and temporary (on line) visitation schedules, there is not much time to get informed and make the right decisions. Waiting too long can make things worse.

If you find yourself or someone close to you in a situation like that, don’t hesitate to contact me or my colleagues.

Careful child relocation was created in 2021. It uses all the available resources from many different countries. It shows court decisions from different countries and courts, legal guidelines, practical information, frequently asked questions and so on. With this website I hope to provide useful information to individuals and professionals and to contribute to a good cooperation between them. If you miss anything, please let me know.
