I qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2007 and worked at an independent law firm in Hong Kong practicing general civil and commercial litigation with a focus on family law. I handled complex and high-profile matrimonial proceedings involving substantial assets and cross-border elements.
I joined Gall in July 2020 and specialize on all aspects of family law including divorce, financial claims and children matters.
Relevant experiences and positions
I am a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association and served on the committee of the Young Solicitors Group of the Law Society of Hong Kong from 2007 to 2011. I am also a founding member of the South Asian Lawyers Group (SALG) Hong Kong and a committee member of the Women in Business, the British Chamber of Commerce. In late 2022, I was invited to become an ExCo member of EMPOWER by The Amber Foundation, a local NGO focused on increasing the visibility of young ethnic minority women in their professional fields.
I am regularly invited by industry peers to speak at events and seminars/webinars and an active contributor to leading lifestyle and legal publications including Hong Kong Lawyer, Sassy Media Group and Expat Living to publish topical issues on family law.
I am actively involved in assisting NGOs in their family law related matters including working with Equal Justice Hong Kong to help domestic helpers with their marital disputes. I am also a proponent of alternative dispute resolution and have setted numerous cases out of court.
I was recently recognised as an Up and Coming Lawyer in Chambers Greater China 2023 directory and ranked as a recommended lawyer by Spears.
Born and raised in Hong Kong and Indian by origin, I speak various languages including Cantonese, Hindi and Sindhi.
